Shit.
I just went to the bathroom and my panty-liner had red blood, and I wiped and I had deep red blood. More than just pink watery spotting I had during the week of implantation.
We called our clinic to let them know about this. And to let them know that my beta #3 that I had yesterday came back at (3200). 16dp5dt. Which is a good beta number. But then let them know about the bleeding today. They suggested I change my panty liner. If it soaks through in a half an hour, to call back immediately. This is a very bad sign. But if it doesn't, it could just be bleeding caused from the progesterone supositories that I'm still taking.
I do not feel good about this.
Now I guess it's just a wait and see.
And try to stay as calm as possible.

I know sooooo many women have had HEAVY red bleeding after BFP (if you go to the CCRM pregnancy success page on the Fertility Forums site, you will see what I mean). And usually everything has been just fine. I really hope that is the case with you as well. Hang in there.
I went to CCRM for my FET and had bleeding on 5w2d. It was bright red blood. My local RE thought it was from the suppository because he didn't find a source of bleeding during an ultrasound. I went on to have 2 more spotting episodes after that but the bleeding was brown. It's hard not to freak out believe me I freaked out. As long as there is no cramping with the bleeding. Try to rest.
Hi Lisa,
I've followed your blog for a while and am de-lurking to tell you not to panic. I had CRAZY amounts of bright, red blood very early after an IVF cycle when I found out I was pregnant with multiples (I am talking pad-soaking, gushing blood for days that lessened but did continue off and on for weeks). This is more common after IVF cycles and particularly for multiple pregnancies I am told and mine turned out to be a subchorionic hematoma, which healed and I now have three beautiful healthy children. I immediately had the worst feelings too and thought it was impossible for a baby to be alive in there, let alone three--and boy was I wrong! So hang in there and try not to think the worst just yet as I did...it really and truly can be just fine! Will send good thoughts your way!
Thanks ladies, I've been trying to rest and try not to think the worst. It's hard. The bleeding is dark red and brown, similar to a period for me. But I'm glad to know that there are many success stories out there after bleeding and am trying to stay focused on that.
I had pink bleeding with my first pregnancy and also with this one at around the time of my first HCG. But this is different. The nurse at CCRM said to hang tight. My beta number yesterday looked good and she confirmed the success stories of women who bleed, saying it doesn't mean for sure that it's your period.
I had heavy bleeding with my CCRM FET. It soaked thru my pants, it was a lot. I did have a SCH.... But the bleeding tapered and I went on to have healthy twins:)
Lisa I have been reading your blog for awhile now and I actually had my fet two days before you and also got my positive beta two days before you. Ironically I also had bright red bleeding last week Thursday. I called the doctor and they really made me feel better by saying that with such good hcg levels rising appropriately it would be strange for the bleeding to have to do with miscarriage. Usually your beta would stop going up and you would bleed as a result of that later. She also said the progesterone or blood being trapped and leaking out could cause it. I'm not sure of the truthfulness of this but I also read you are more likely to spot with multiples. I have been spotting now more brown almost a bit each day but I have just rested in the assurance that my levels continue to more than double do until my ultrasound next Tuesday that's the best assurance I have. Good luck and I pray it all works well for you.
I also had bleeding. It happened a couple of days before my ultrasound. I feared the worst, but my CCRM nurse told me that a lot of women have some bleeding and went on to have normal healthy baby(ies). The cause of my bleeding was because of a subchorionic hematoma. My perinatologist explained that sometimes, the site of implantation is on or near a big artery or vein, and as the placenta grows, it digs into it and causes bleeding. With mine, the bleeding lasted a couple of days, even had clots. I hope and pray that it is the same with you and that everything is fine. Hang in there and try to get some rest. xo
Hi Lisa,
Can I ask u a question - Did u and ur hubby try PICSI in ur 1st successful treatment? Also, is CCRM denver colorado repr center? I would like to know if PICSI is widely in use as ICSI and where that is done in the U.S?
Thanks
Hi, ladies,

Hi everyone,
I am struggling to know What to think at the moment. I have just had a FET on Thursday 23rd and I just got up to put my pessary in and I am bleeding. I felt really period like last night and today I have started to bleed, and it was dark red and a little clot like, I have called the IVF nurses and will wait to hear what they say, so worried but trying not to fear the worst. Has anyone else had this???
I have been inspired to hear all about your success stories after some bleeding, so hoping this is nothing to worry about...
